(Yellow-rumped Warbler - photo by Neil Barker - April 28, 2024)
Songs and calls from locals and travellers simply passing through.
Songs announcing arrivals, some staying, others leaving soon.
Each song, call, and note - a message for all to hear this morning.
I recorded these in the morning on Sunday April 28, 2024. I used the Merlin Bird ID app to record these birds on my hike at Britannia Conservation Area. I thought I would try and do something different and focus on identifying and enjoying the different sounds and songs of the birds.

What birds do you hear?
The Merlin app is wonderful. I do not use it much here in the city, because I know most of the birds that visit to get the seeds and fruits I leave for them. Northern cardinals, crows, sparrows, blue jays. I have not seen the two ravens I saw a few times earlier in the winter.
Wonderful! Photograph, poem, and recording those calls. What a💚
