Bird Crew: "Commotion"

Beginning with an offering soon becomes a commotion.
A flurry of feathers, darting in and out, awaiting their turn.

I took these photos February 9, 2025. Near the end of my hike, I stopped at a regular spot to pay the seed tax. The bird crew promptly arrived and processed my seed taxes.
First, Black-capped Chickadees arrive in pairs or small groups. Once the chickadees start dining, dashing, and caching, the White-breasted Nuthatches arrive. This causes a commotion which then leads to a Downy Woodpecker or two arriving. Now we’ve got the Bird Crew. They are a treat to watch and always makes me smile.

Downy Woodpecker = 털보리 딱따구리 / Teolbori ddagddaguri
Makes me smile too. Seeing kindness in action on a cold winter day warms this old man's heart.
Seed tax is such an excellent idea we should all implement
