Eastern Grey Squirrel: "White Tip"
Revealing colours of contrast without a care in the world.
On a path, remants of a tree offer a place for respite.
A being named Grey, waits showing nothing of their moniker.
Revealing colours of contrast without a care in the world.
I took these photos on my second hike of the day on October 14, 2024. I was not sure what I was seeing when I first saw this Eastern Grey Squirrel with a white-tipped tail.
This squirrel was snacking on sunflower seeds someone had left on this tree stump.
I stopped to take a few photos. Once I stopped, the squirrel hopped down from the stump. I figured I would need to pay the peanut tax to pass by and continue my hike.
Peanut tax paid. The white-tipped squirrel scampered off into the woods. For the price of a peanut, I was allowed to continue down the trail.
English - Korean:
Squirrel = 다람쥐 / daram-jwi
Grey Squirrel = 회색다람쥐 / hway-saek-daram-jwi
Eastern Grey Squirrel = 동부회색다람쥐 / dongbu-hway-saek-daram-jwi
Oh, how cute she is! I'm not sure if I have mentioned this before but the grey squirrels up your way are so much darker in color then they are here.
Delight delight delight. She gives you beauty, you pay her in peanuts. There will always be bodhisattvas in this world, until we all wake up to all the beauty!
