What’s for dinner?
A tall thin heron walks slowly on an empty belly.
The source of their next meal is unknown and uncertain.
In a blink of an eye, the heron strikes at the water, dinner!
My first attempt at writing a sijo (시조.) A sjio is a Korean poetry style that uses 3 lines. Each of the 3 lines has between 14-16 syllables. Sijo typically begin with a problem. The next line adds more detail. The final line can then resolve the problem or bring in an unexpected surprise.
