Such striking photos. So the hawks won that battle with the crows. Thankfully no bird was hurt. An understanding was reached that the hawks would remain to nest.
Wonderful post, Neil! The poem is a wonderful lead in to the article and photos. I saw a Cooper’s Hawk on my morning walk, also left alone by the Crows. It seems like they are all busy nesting.
Thank you so much Heidi. That's awesome you saw a Cooper's Hawk as well. Yes, maybe the Crows sense that - a seriousness about the hawks at this time of year especially.
Thanks B2! Also, I have not read that book "How to Catch a Mole" and will give it a read. Thanks! 👍

Thanks Perry. Yes, I think this pair of hawks and the local crows have reached a truce of sorts.
Awesome photos and wonderful information about Cooper’s Hawks. Looking forward to more hawk stories and photos
Thanks James and happy to share. I will provide some updates on them in the coming weeks as well.
Great pictures!
Thanks Michael - luck and timing and Nature's patience. :)
